FFXIV Submarine Leveling Build — Rank 1 to 140
What is a Leveling Build?
As your submarine explores, it gains XP and ranks up. Higher ranks unlock better parts. Choosing a build that matches your login cycle (48h/36h/always online) is the most efficient way to progress.
💡 A submarine has 4 parts: Hull, Stern, Bow, and Bridge.
Part Abbreviations Guide
Standard abbreviations widely used in the community and spreadsheets.
•S : Shark-class
•U : Unkiu-class
•W : Whale-class
•C : Coelacanth-class
•Y : Syldra-class
•+ : Modified part
Example) C+ U+ S+ S+ = Mod Coelacanth Hull + Mod Unkiu Stern + Mod Shark Bow + Mod Shark Bridge
Build 1: 48 hour redeploys (Most Comfortable)
This build will probably be the most comfortable for the average player. It is designed around 48 hour voyages, allowing players to redeploy the sub at the same time everyday.

Build 2: 36 hour redeploys
The 36 hour build should level slightly faster than the 48 hour build path. However, the 36 hour schedule forces players to alternate redeployments between morning and evening (or afternoon and late night).
One other advantage of this build is that it requires one fewer part to be built than the 48 hour build.

Build 3: 24/7 online (Perfect redeploys)
If you keep up with perfect redeployments then this build will level you the fastest. If you can't keep up with perfect deployments then you are better off with the 36h or 48h builds.

Rank 75+ — Endgame Purpose Builds
After Rank 75, builds shift from pure XP to maximizing Gil per hour/day. Here are the community-tested farming builds.
